Django was absolutely adorable, but gosh he gave me a headache! This was his favourite spot, and of course, one does not disturb a cat in his favourite spot. Ouch.
Bob & Gidget in New Orleans. Gosh darn, it was H-O-T, but an absolutely delightful sit in my favourite US city. And I successfully dealt with a burst water pipe - woo hoo.
Oh Digby my love! I adore this little doggie. He lives one town over, and I've been fortunate enough to sit him twice, and have visited a few times as well.
Delightful little cavoodle, Honey. I sat for her in Auckland city and, with the owners' permission, took her for a visit to a friend's 120 hectare farm up the Kaipara Harbour. She had her best day ever! Ran around with a bunch of other dogs, got chased by an alpaca, and *shudder* was introduced by two Italian Greyhounds to the joys of rolling in fresh, green sheep poo! She came back grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
A delightful sit in Coromandel Town with Millie (the dog) and the two donkeys, Jane and Heke. Why is there a cat in the photos? Because Jane adopted him! He was a stray kitten that Jane took on as her baby. So cute! He would spent the entire day out in the field with Jane, hid under her whenever a hawk flew over, and slept curled up on her at night. I named him Nahko.
Darling little Pepper - such a sweetie! She doesn't usually take kindly to strangers, but she adored me. The homeowner called me on a video chat about a year later to ask me to do a repeat sit, and Pepper started squawking excitedly when she heard my voice!
The delightful Bertie, sister to Digby above right. Yes, she's an Ewok! Well, technically a Brussels Griffon, that inspired the Ewok's appearance. George Lucas owned these dogs and used one of them as a visual reference for the beloved, bear-like forest-dwelling creatures of Endor.
My darling Winnie on the right, who I've house-sat twice, and visited many, many times, and Toby, who I took to visit Winnie while I was sitting him. I do adore cavoodles - they are such gentle, loving souls. I have never met a nasty cavoodle!
